Helping someone become very fit is, on paper, not difficult: recipes are readily available on the Internet for free. Integrating the personality of the athlete and dealing with whatever life throws at them is another story. It becomes even trickier when working with executives with extremely busy lifestyle and for whom stress is the habitual default mode of functioning. It’s an art, it’s not easy, but it’s what makes great coaching… and that is what motivates me.

Coaching is also a relationship: you need two people to work together. Communication flows, respect goes both ways, confidence builds up progressively. Sports science and tech do help, but in the end, it’s the human bound that makes the difference in the coaching journey and provide the right support to propel the athlete’s performance to another level. If you read and watch the testimonials of my athletes, you will see and hear that these are recurrent schemes in my coaching style. And this is what I am offering to you, declined in different programs, to accommodate to every budget and everybody’s needs.

The Endurance Sport Coaching Premium Plans is for driven athletes and executives who want the best that Beyond The Line has to offer, with unlimited access to Head Coach Olivier.

The Semi-Customised Training Plans are a great compromise, as you get access to Olivier at the very beginning and share with him your goals, level, constraints, and get a fully customised program in return, that you’re free to implement on your own.

The Ready-to-go training plans are of great value for newcomers with a tight budget who want a program designed by a coach-athlete-busy-entrepreneur who understands life constraints and still know how to push to be your best.

Aware that knowledge is power, we have designed Masterclasses on your favourite sports and topics for you to have a full holistic understanding of your topic of choice. For Triathlon, Swimrun and Running, the Masterclasses come with a training plan to be implemented while following the lessons.

Nutrition, Health, and Life coaching

I am a certified Triathlon coach, but to be honest, in this field, certification is just a rite of passage: the actual expertise on triathlon coaching comes with practising coaching… which I have been doing full time since mid 2014.

It is a different matter with the other certifications I did or I am doing, which has been life changing experiences for me: I am a certified Sports Nutrition coach, a certified Health and Life coach, and a Neuro Linguistic Programming certified practitioner. I am also currently studying Hypnotherapy, first for personal interest, but also to have more tools to help my clients.

Why all this?

I invite you to read my story if you haven’t already. I was at some point very fit, and very unhealthy at the same time. I did my Ironman Personal Best in late 2010, between two burnouts from working tirelessly in the corporate grind. I have ’toyed’ with depression for half a decade, before plunging into it for good, on the year of my 4th Ironman World Championship qualification. Appearances are deceiving. Stubbornness and inner fire can hide unresolved pain for decades. It works, it really does… until it doesn’t.

I see too many athletes using their sport as an escape. Training hard and long allows them to avoid facing issues with addictions that would give them bad press, replacing them with another addiction that is praised in our society. I see too many fit and unhealthy people. People who bury their pain, void and anxiety by pushing their physical boundaries day in day out. People who identify themselves with their sport successes, being at the mercy of an injury or sickness that would wipe them out and leave them with nothing. You get the picture. We, athletes, suffer like the rest of humanity, we are no better, and at some point, life forces us to face our demons and address them. When this happens, over time, training becomes a way to escape, but it solves nothing. Eventually, performances deteriorate, it is inexorable.

I have therefore created coaching programs to help you work on your unresolved issues and become much stronger and resilient as a result. Depending on your needs, your program will provide a mix of Nutrition, Health and Life coaching. Each practice is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Endurance Premium Sports Coaching Program and support your top performance and your physical and mental heath.

The exact mix depends on the individual and is on a case by case basis. It is thus necessary for me to have a first contact call with you to get a first picture of what could be the ideal mix of coaching practices to integrate.
